Our brands

Four specialists. One standard for what reaches your ear.

Every brand in the Collective keeps its own identity, team and community. Here is what each one does best and where to find it.

Westone Audio

Custom and universal in-ear monitors

In-ear monitors for the stage and the people who live on it.

Westone Audio built its name on the ears of working musicians, starting in 1991 with custom in-ear monitors for touring artists like Rush and Def Leppard. The first Westone branded in-ear monitor followed in 2002. Custom Elite Series monitors are made from an impression of your ear, for a seal that shuts out stage wash and keeps your mix clear. Universal-fit models bring the same tuning work to performers and listeners who want to buy off the shelf.

Etymotic

Hearing protection and reference earphones

True to the ear since 1983.

Etymotic began in audiology, not audio. Founder Mead Killion earned his doctorate in audiology at Northwestern and spent two decades designing hearing aid microphones and amplifiers at Knowles Electronics before starting Etymotic in 1983. His goal was high-fidelity products to measure, improve and protect human hearing.

The name means true to the ear, and it still works as a design brief. Etymotic earplugs reduce sound evenly across frequencies, so a rehearsal or a show sounds quieter instead of muffled. The ER series earphones carry the same research into precise, isolating listening.

Earpads, cables and headphone upgrades

Make the headphones you already love even better.

Earpads are part of a headphone's acoustic design, and usually the first part to wear out. Dekoni builds replacements for specific models in sheepskin, suede, velour and hybrid materials, with memory foam shaped for each headphone. The Ensemble line brings the same care to cables and connectors.

Grell

Open-back reference headphones

Headphones from the engineer behind the HD 600, HD 650 and HD 800.

Axel Grell's work at Sennheiser shaped some of the most respected headphones ever made. With his own company he is chasing the way we hear speakers. The OAE2 brings sound from the front of the ear cup, so music has depth and placement instead of sitting inside your head. It is also built to be serviced and repaired.
